A California man admitted to distributing child pornography and making a bomb threat hoax against a Cumberland County teen, federal authorities announced. Nathaniel Sean Deleon, 20, of Tulare, California, pleaded guilty on Dec. 18, 2024, to charges of child pornography distribution and making a false bomb threat, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Ohio 'Swatter' Caught In Pennsylvania, Police Say
A Parkesburg man is charged with felony "swatting" in Ohio, according to borough police. Michael Eugene Carpenter was arrested on an Ohio warrant on Tuesday, Jan. 9, authorities said in a release. "Swatting" involves reporting a false crime to authorities — often a bomb threat or hostage situation — to provoke a police response, officials said. Carpenter was released after posting a $10,000 bond on Wednesday, Jan. 10, court records show. Details of his pending extradition to Ohio were not immediately available.
