Tractor-Trailer Crash Caused Major Backup On RT 222
A tractor-trailer crash has caused a backup on Route 222 in Lancaster County on Wednesday morning, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The crash happened in the southbound lanes immediately following the Oregon Pike or Route 272 exit around 7:15 a.m. Manheim Township Police were dispatched to Route 222 South near Landis Valley Road for the two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and dump truck. GOT HIM! Police Nab Accused Route 272 Hit-Run Driver
Police in Ephrata arrested a man they believe was responsible for a hit-and-run crash. Jose M. Colon-Espada, 33 of Lancaster was arrested for fleeing or attempting to elude the police after a hit-and-run on March 3, according to police. Colon-Espada was supposedly driving a sedan traveling southbound in the 600 block of South Reading Road after having crashed into the passenger’s side of another vehicle, rubbing against the tire.
