A man turning 23-years-old has been identified as the driver who died at the scene of a crash in Lancaster County, authorities say. Josiah Maier of Lititz was named as the driver at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office. The deadly single-vehicle crash into a tree happened in the 1100 block of Kleinfeltersville Road in Clay Township at 8:36 p.m. on Aug. 22, according to a release by the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department. Investigators have said 42-year-old Matthew DeAngelis was headed the wrong way on Route 202 when he crashed head-on into Li's Volkswagen Taos just after midnight on Friday, July 14. A tractor-trailer driver is in the hospital after smashing into a home in Lititz on Friday morning, authorities say. Emergency crews were called to the home in the 600 block of Furnace Hills Pike (Route 501) around 2:30 a.m. on July 21, 2023, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Power should be restored by 5:30 p.m. after a SUV plowed into a utility pole in Lititz on April 4, 2023. The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department responded to a call of a vehicle accident with injuries in the 400 bock of Owl Hill Road Tuesday afternoon. The driver left the road way for an unknown reason and struck a PPL power pole. The driver was hurt, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. PPL is in the area making repairs. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
