Fire Closes Giant In Hershey
A fire broke out at the Giant Food Store in Hershey on Thursday morning, according to fire officials. Crews were called to the Giant located at 1250 Cocoa Ave around 5 a.m. The fire started in the back of the store, where a staff member noticed flames coming from a cardboard baler-- a machine used to crush cardboard. The flames spread from the baler to a nearby wall. The employee called 911 and alarms went off in the store, activating the sprinkler system. Derry Township School Bus Hits Car Causing Oil Spill
A school bus slammed into a car Tuesday afternoon, says Emergency Dispatch Services in Dauphin County. The bus hit sedan at the intersection of HP Drive and Sandbeach Road just before 5 p.m. One person was injured and treated at the scene. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Fire crews were called to the scene to apply oil drying fluid, according to the Hershey Fire Department. Derry Township police stayed on the scene to direct traffic.

Hershey Fire Crews Battle Brush, Boat Fire Along Swatara Creek
Crews in Hershey battled a large brush fire along the banks of Swatara Creek on Sunday. Multiple fire crews were called--including boats from Hummelstown--to battle the blaze around 12 a.m. Monday morning. Here’s a video of what we’re up against.
