Motorized Bicyclist Killed In Car Crash In Harrisburg
A man riding on a motorized bicycle has died following a car crash in Harrisburg, according to area police. The man was riding in the 300 block of South 29th Street on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation by police shows that the man veered into traffic and collided with a vehicle. Upon arrival officers observed the man was being treated by Emergency Medical Services. The man was transported to a local hospital where they died as a result of his injuries. Chay'nce Quadier King-Henderson's suspected killer has been apprehended and charged with first degree murder, according to Harrisburg police. Kaewon Kashif Layton, 15, of Harrisburg was arrested on Thursday for his involvement in the shooting death of the 16-year-old. King-Henderson was shot dead in the 2200 block of Berryhill Street on Thursday, April 1, around 1 a.m., as Daily Voice reported at the time. Man Remains In Critical Condition After Shooting In Harrisburg
A shooting in Harrisburg on Saturday has left one man in critical condition, according to area police. Harrisburg Police were called to a report of shots fired with a person struck in the area of South 18th and Holly streets in the Allison Hill neighborhood around 5 p.m. Upon arrival officers found a man had been shot multiple times. A Harrisburg woman has been missing since Sunday according to city police. Kahlajah Brooks, of Harrisburg PA, was suppose to be traveling to York to meet with an unknown individual. It is unclear if she actually went to York, or made contact with the individual. Brooks has not made contact with her family since July 31 and her whereabouts are currently unknown. Brooks was supposed to go to York in her 2009 green Dodge Journey, with a PA license plate of LMV-7360. A 46-year-old Harrisburg woman has been charged in connection with the shooting death of Stanley Cooksey. Latosha Stoney was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide in connection to the death of Stanley Cooksey on Thursday. A man seen fleeing with a semiautomatic rifle is wanted by Harrisburg police. While on patrol, officers saw a group loitering in the area of the 1700 block of Helen Street near the 1700 block of Market Street on June 21. A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged for setting at least seven fires in Dauphin and Perry counties, according to Harrisburg police. Tyler Joseph Kapp was arrested for several fires in the Allison Hill neighborhood as well as two fires in Maryville set in May and June.
