Police ID Pair Rescued From Maryland Small Plane Crash
A 66-year-old man and woman were rescued after being stranded 100 feet up for seven hours with serious injuries from a small plane that crashed into a power tower in Montgomery County Sunday, Nov. 27. The pilot, Patrick Merkle, 66, of Washington DC, and his passenger, Janet Williams, 66, of Marrero, LA, had apparently departed from Westchester County Airport in New York, in a Mooney Mike 20P single engine plane, before crashing in Gaithersburg around 6:45 p.m., officials said. Former Maryland HS Football Standout, Penn State LB Bani Gbadyu Dies From Pancreatic Cancer
Former Maryland high school football standout and Penn State linebacker Bani Gbadyu has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 34. Friends and family of Gbadyu announced on Saturday, Oct. 22 that he died due to complications from cancer, leaving behind three young children and his wife, Molly. Former Cuomo Staffer Killed After Being Kicked Out Of Lyft
A 43-year-old man who was struck and killed by a car after being ordered out of a Lyft in Delaware over the weekend has been identified as one of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo's previous staffers. PA Woman Who Killed Firefighter Nabbed In Maryland: US Marshals
A Pennsylvania woman on parole for killing a firefighter was arrested on the run in Maryland, according to the US Marshals. Khanyae Kendall, 23, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty to killing Denny Devoe while he was on-duty in 2017, according to US Marshal Martin J. Pane and court records. Kendall was driving a stolen vehicle under the influence at the time of the fatal crash, court records show. She was sentenced to a prison term of five to 12 years, but on Mar. 10, 2022, she was released under the supervision of the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, according to US Marshal Pane. …
