NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Pennsylvania The National Weather Service at State College has confirmed a tornado touched in Harrisburg and traveled through the neighboring townships during Tropical Storm Debby on Friday, Aug. 9. The EF1 had estimated peak winds of 105 miles, it was 300 yards at its widest, and was on the ground for about 3 1/2 miles, according to the NWS release.  The tornado touched down near the Inclinator Company at 4:33 a.m. and took off again near the Pennsylvania State Police headquarters on Elmerton Avenue around 4:40 a.m., as detailed in the release.  The damage was as follows, as NWS explained: …

Tornado Touchdown In PA Confirmed A tornado touched down this week in northern Bucks County, the National Weather Service confirmed. The EF1 tornado occurred during the storms Thursday, March 31 about 15 to 20 miles over the Northampton County line in Bedminster Township, the NWS said. Winds hit a max of approximately 100 mph. Its path was about 2 miles and its width 100 yards, or 300 feet.
