Man Strips Naked, Jumps In Freezer Full Of Ice At Gas Station In Ephrata
A 35-year-old man caused 12 hours of mayhem in Ephrata starting when he stripped naked at a gas station and jumped into a freezer with bagged ice, area police stated in a release on Friday, Oct. 14. Jonathan Martin Beck, of East Earl, "removed all of his clothing while at a gas pump, exposing his genitals to customers. Beck then removed several ice bags from the bagged ice freezer and jumped inside of the freezer causing numerous bags of ice to be disposed of," the Ephrata police say. Two girls might be on Santa's naughty list after they damaged ice sculptures at Ephrata Rail Station Plaza just a few days after they was installed for the holiday season, according to police. Ephrata Police were called to a report of girls damaging ice sculptures in the first block of East Main Street on Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m., according to a release by police. Bomb Threat Made To Office of Pennsylvania District Judge
A state judge's office was evacuated after a bomb threat was made on Wednesday morning, say police. Magisterial District Judge Russell’s staff received a threat by phone to his office at 609 East Main Street around 9:25 a.m., according to Ephrata Borough police. The building houses both the MDJ office and The Shopping News-- both were evacuated. Police cleared the building with the assistance of a Lancaster City Police explosive detection K-9. The building was reoccupied at 1:00 p.m. There's no word on any suspects, motives or arrests.
