Officers 'Justified' In Fatal Shooting Of Felon, Shippensburg Alum In Carlisle, DA After reviewing events leading up to the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man, Cumberland County District Attorney Seán M. McCormack ruled the police were justified in the killing.  Nathaniel Lawrence Liberator, of Carlisle, was shot dead after police attempted to detain him for questioning following a disturbance in the area of the 300 block of C Street at 1:59 p.m. on Jan. 13, as Daily Voice previously reported.
