PA Drunk Driver Was More Than 2X Legal Limit Hours After Ditching Car At Crash Scene, Cops Say A Pennsylvania driver was more than twice the legal limit nearly two hours after she crashed her car and left it at the scene, police said. Heidi R. Hamrick, of New Holland, struck a utility pole at Ranck Road and Don Drive in East Earl Township around 12:10 a.m. June 9, East Earl police said. When officers arrived they found that the driver had fled the scene, but left their vehicle. New Holland PD: DUI Driver Blows Through Stop Sign A man from Lancaster County with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit--and drug paraphernalia-- was charged after driving through a stop sign and then being stopped by police. Justin Edwards, 44 of Downingtown was stopped by New Holland Police shortly after 9 p.m. in the 400 block of East Jackson Street after officers observed him failing to stop for a stop sign, on April 7. “Edwards showed multiple signs of intoxication,” said police.
