An auto repair shop owner has died after being struck by his own truck, the York County Coroner's Office announced on Friday, Sept. 27.
Irl L. Therit, Jr., 63, of Hanover, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital at 3:11 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, according to a release by the coroner's office.
Deputy Coroner Molly York was called to the hospital to investigate and certify the death.

A beloved 79-year-old grandma died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from injuries she sustained during a deadly home invasion on Dec. 22, 2021, according to a release by the York County coroner’s office.
Adam Schaffer, 54, had broken into Barbara “Barb” J. (Staub) Laughman’s home that she share with her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” E. Laughman, Pennsylvania state police say.
Schaffer assaulted the pair, but Mr. Laughman was able to shoot and kill Schaffer, police say.

An 82-year-old man has died after a crash on Monday, according to the York County coroner.
Raymond E. "Skeet"Proctor Sr., of 800 block of Roosevelt Ave., York City, died at WellSpan Hospital York following a single-vehicle crash on June 20 in Abbottstown, Adam County.
His official cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, according to a coroner's report released on Friday.
The Pennsylvania State police continue to investigate the crash.
