ACLU Files Suit Against PA School District Over Mascot Club
The American Civil Liberties Union is suing Twin Valley School District in Berks County over an alleged violation of a student's First Amendment rights, the organization says. A member of the Derry Township Board of School Directors and her husband have been charged with providing alcohol to minors, police announced in a release on Wednesday, Nov. 15. A school bus taking children to school was rear-ended on Wednesday morning, according to the police. The bus was stopped at a red light along its route to the West Shore School District while heading north at the intersection of Bridge and Third streets on Nov. 8 at approximately 7:30 a.m., New Cumberland police detailed in a release.
