David Charles Serio, 59, of Thomasville shot at a woman fleeing in her car to a nearby business following the fight at Chesapeake Estates in Jackson Township around 4:20 a.m., Northern York County Regional police explained in a release later that day.
Officers called to investigate found that the woman was shot in her hand and shoulder.
The victim told police that she and Serio "were involved in a verbal argument about the male’s computer. As the victim was getting into her car to leave, Serio fired multiple rounds at her vehicle. Two of the rounds struck her," as written in the release.
Her injuries are not life-threatening, according to the police.
Serio, was found at the home in Chesapeake Estates still armed with a handgun, but police were able to take him into custody without incident, as detailed in the release.
He was charged with the following felonies
- Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide.
- Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause Serious Bodily Injury, or causes injury with extreme indifference.
- Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or cause bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
- Aggravated Assault - Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury to designated individuals.
Two misdemeanors for:
- Propel Missile Into Occupied Vehicle.
- Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
Serio was committed to York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to police and confirmed by court documents.
His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Thomas J. Reilly on March 1 at 2:30 p.m., according to his court docket.
The investigation into this incident continues.
