Springettsbury police were called for a welfare check at a home in the 3600 block of Harrowgate Road at 1:23 p.m., ABC27 reports citing Chief Todd King.
A woman and a man were found stabbed inside of the home, according to the York County coroner's office.
The woman, who is believed to be a resident of the home, was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Jacob Clevenger.
The injured man was taken to York Hospital, authorities say.
The woman's cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14, according to the coroner's release.
An interpreter was called to the scene to assist the police as they continue to investigate while "a language gap has made that challenging," CBS21 reports.
