A son has been charged with killing his 76-year-old mother in Pennsylvania before being hospitalized under police supervision in New York, state police announced on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Michael Sean Jones, 46, allegedly assaulted his mother, Andrea Lynn Vail, during an argument inside her Silver Lake Township home on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Vail was retired, according to her social media profile.

A parent's report sparked an investigation that led to a Pennsylvania man's arrest for sexual contact with multiple children, police announced Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Robert Eugene Styers, 60, identified by police as a Middletown resident, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15, following the investigation in Dauphin County.
The investigation began when a parent came forward with concerns, Lower Swatara Township Police said. Investigators subsequently alleged that Styers had sexual contact with multiple children, describing the case as a “disturbing pattern of behavior.”

Woman Trying To Help Injured Deer Struck By Car, Airlifted To Hospital In NJ: Police
A 24-year-old woman was flown to a New Jersey hospital after she was hit by a car while trying to help an injured deer, authorities said.
At 11:43 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, officers responded to Route 206 and Patricia Drive, where a Lake Hopatcong woman was found lying in the roadway after she was struck by a white Mazda while attempting to aid the injured animal, Mount Olive police said.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital, while the driver, a 29-year-old Flanders woman, remained on scene and was not injured, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.

A Pennsylvania man has been jailed without bail after a victim reported sexual assaults from nearly a decade ago, police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Raul Solis-Soriano, 46, of Bensalem, allegedly sexually assaulted the victim on three separate occasions while the victim was a child in his care, township police said.
The victim, who knew Solis-Soriano, contacted Bensalem Township police on Tuesday, Sept. 15, prompting an investigation by detectives, according to the release. Solis-Soriano was arrested that day, court records show.
