Man Dies After Tent Catches Fire At Harrisburg Homeless Encampment: Officials A man has died from injuries sustained after his tent caught fire at a homeless encampment in Harrisburg, fire officials announced. The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, near the 900 block of South Front Street, close to the PennDOT building, according to emergency dispatchers. Harrisburg city firefighters arrived to find the man suffering from severe burns, Fire Chief Brian Enterline said. Michael Eugene Ermold Jr., 57 of Lancaster (who is reportedly experiencing homelessness), is accused of attacking a woman near mile marked 36.8 shortly before 7 p.m. on June 4, the police detailed in a release.
