Teen Killed In NEPA ATV Crash ID'd By Carbon County Coroner
A 19-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Carbon County, authorities said. Joshua Beck of Penn Forest Township died as a result of the crash on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to Carbon County Coroner Mark K. Smith. Beck lost control of the ATV, left the roadway and struck a tree, the coroner said. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe has been organized in Josh's name by his family. Bicyclist Struck In Lititz, Police Say
A bicyclist was struck in Lititz on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the police announced at 2:56 p.m. that day. The police were called to investigate the crash "involving a bicycle and a vehicle" around 11:21 a.m., as detailed in the release. They learned a "bicyclist turned left at the intersection into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound resulting in a collision," police wrote in the release. The crash happened at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue in Lititz Borough. No injuries were reported. There was also no word of any charges filed.

Convicted Drunk Driver Strikes Pedestrian In Enola Then Flees, Police Say
A convicted drunk driver is accused of striking a pedestrian and fleeing, East Pennsboro Township Police announced on Thursday, Aug. 8. David Lewis Sweger, 58, of Enola, struck a man with his pick-up truck intersection of East Perry Street and Altoona Avenue in Enola at 7:55 p.m. on July 25, police alleged in the release. Officers arrived at the scene that night and spoke with the victim. "An investigation was conducted and the suspect was identified as David Sweger of Enola," the police said. Driver Injured When Car Slams Into Garage In York County: Officials
A driver was taken to the hospital after striking the side of a garage on Thursday morning, Aug. 8. The sedan pictured struck the detached garage in the 3500 block of Shaffers Church Road in Codorus Township at 6:49 a.m., the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Company detailed in a release. A 61-year-old woman who died in a two-crash has been identified by the York County Coroner's office on Monday evening, Aug. 6. Susan Lam, of the 2400 Block of Smith Mill Road, Shrewsbury Township died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Mt. Airy Rd. and Buchanan Avenue in Shrewsbury Township at 6:15 p.m., as detailed in the release. Lam struck a vehicle with two people inside who suffered injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Blocks Ramp On Rt 22: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer rolled onto its side is blocking the on-ramp to Route 22 on Monday morning, Aug. 5., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The tractor-trailer appears to have flipped exactly in front of the on-ramp from Elmerton Avenue to North Cameron Street/Route 22 Northbound near Wildwood Drive around 6:40 a.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. For at least the second time this month, a man has died while tubing in the Lehigh Valley, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. This time it was a father of seven children, a family friend told Daily Voice. Antwan D. Daring, 35, of Bethlehem, drowned in the Lehigh River near Waterfront Drive in Allentown on Monday afternoon, July 15, officials said. Seven firefighters were injured when two tankers, from two different companies, collided on the way to a massive warehouse fire in South Central Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to separate releases issued the following morning, July 13.
