Large Brush Fire Closes Part Of Rt 32 In Bucks County: Police A large brush fire has closed part of Route 32 in Bucks County on Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, police say.  The closure of Route 32/River Road is between Aquetong Road and Route 232, according to Solebury police.  The announcement came out at 12:29 p.m., but there is no word on how long the closure is expected to last.  No injuries have been reported.  This is one of two closures in Solebury Township on Monday, Oct. 14. Berks County Man Dead After Fall From Tree Stand: Coroner A Berks County man died while attempting to remove a tree limb under his tree stand, according to authorities. Gregory McCoy, 62, of Oley Township, was pronounced dead at 9:34 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office.  Police were called to a wooded area near the 200 block of Geiger Road at around 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 and found McCoy hanging upside down from the tree, Amity Police Chief Jeffrey Smith said. The person had a weapon on the 4100 block of Devereaux Street (private rowhome) at 10:49 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, they said. A 44-year-old Hispanic male locked himself inside the basement of this property, police said. The male is possibly armed with a knife. It was declared a barricade at 12:24 p.m.

Unconscious Man Rescued From Roof In Lancaster County: Officials (Photos) Multiple fire companies worked together to rescue an unconscious man from the roof of a home on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, the Witmer Fire Protective Association announced later that day.  The elderly man was found "not alert, stuck on top of a roof of a mobile home, and unable to get down," as stated in the release.  Members of Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks fire companies, as well as Lancaster EMS, worked together to get the man down safely. It's unclear why the man was on the roof.

Crews Respond To Back-To-Back Fires In Bethlehem City fire crews were at the scene of two blazes in Bethlehem on Tuesday, July 9, officials said.  The first fire broke out on East Broad Street and reached two alarms before being brought under control, firefighters wrote in a statement Wednesday. The second blaze was on the 1800 block of Norwood Street. First Responders Rescue Watercraft From Delaware River: Njsp First responders rescued a watercraft from the Delaware River in Burlington County on Sunday evening, June 30, authorities said. At about 5 p.m., New Jersey State Police troopers responded to a report of a personal watercraft stuck on a sandbar near Hawk Island in Delanco Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. The craft was dislodged from the sandbar and escorted to a marina, Lebron said. No injuries were reported.  The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, he said.
