Hours-Long Manhunt For NJ Shooting Suspect Ends In PA Arrest, Police Say A shelter in place for a New Jersey town has been lifted after the manhunt for a shooting suspect led to his arrest in Pennsylvania on Thursday morning, June 27, police said. Around 9:40 a.m., Independence Township and New Jersey State Police responded to a home on  Alphano Road for a shooting, prompting a shelter-in-place for the neighborhood, the county prosecutor's office said.
