Tractor-Trailer Rollover Cause Closure At PA Turnpike Ramp In Lancaster
A tractor-trailer rollover crash has caused a closure at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76, officials said. The tractor-trailer flipped at Colonel Howard Boulevard in the eastbound lanes leading to the PA Turnpike/I-76 entrance from Route 222 around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to East Cocalico Township police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. "Both lanes will be closed for approximately 1-2 hours," the police wrote in a release. There is no word of any injuries. Check back here for possible updates.

A 12-year-old student is in the hospital after the were struck by a passing car while crossing the street to get on the school bus, East Cocalico Township Police announced on Wednesday, Oct.23. Police were called to a report of a person struck at the intersection of North Reamstown and Bunker Hill roads at 7:07 a.m. Officers arrived to find the 12-year-old student "laying on the pavement after being struck by a vehicle," the police said. LanCo Driver Was More Than 2X Legal Limit In Crash That Sent Passenger Into Surgery: Cops
A Lancaster County man was more than twice the legal limit in a crash that sent his passenger into emergency surgery earlier this month, police said. James Giuca, 37, of Denver, had a blood alcohol level of .184% when he lost control negotiating a curve on East Swartzville Road on May 13 around 2:25 a.m., East Cocalico Township police said. Giuca's vehicle struck a tree, requiring his passenger be extricated from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Giuca was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, DUI, and issued a summary traffic violation.
