Driver Killed In Fiery Head-On Crash With Tractor-Trailer In South Central PA: Coroner

A 61-year-old man was killed when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into a tractor-trailer in Paradise Township, authorities announced on Thursday, March 20.

The deadly crash happened just after 1 a.m. along Lincoln Highway at North Lake Road, according to the York County Coroner’s Office. The man was heading westbound when his car suddenly crossed the double yellow line, colliding with the massive truck.

Deputy Coroner Molly York arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver dead inside his crumpled vehicle at 1:07 a.m. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, March 21, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

Northern York County Regional Police are leading the crash probe.
