Flames Shoot From Third-Floor Windows In Two-Alarm Fire: Darby Officials A two-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building on MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale, Ridley Township, early Monday, Dec. 16, sending flames shooting out of third-floor windows, authorities said. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at The Crossings at Elmwood apartments just after 8:05 a.m., according to dispatch reports. Crews arrived to find heavy flames on the third floor of Building B in Zone 4. Engine Company 4 operated as the first-due engine, launching an aggressive attack to contain the blaze. Bizarre: Murder Victim's Car Hits, Kills Motorist On Side Of I-95 In Delco, PSP Says (Update) A gunshot victim was apparently unresponsive behind the wheel of his car when he struck and killed a man standing outside of his vehicle on the I-95 ramp to I-476 in Delaware County Friday night, Sept. 13. The two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes on the ramp to I-486 in Ridley Township was called in by a passerby, bringing Pennsylvania State Police troopers to the scene around 9:45 p.m., Trooper Paul Holdefer said. Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police.  The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added.  I-476 between Route 3 (Marple) and Route 30 (Radnor) was down to one lane of travel as of 12:30 p.m., state police said.

Driver, 2 Passengers Killed In US Route 1 Crash: Delaware County Officials (Updated) Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on US Route 1 outside Media on Tuesday morning, according to officials.  The crash happened on US Rt 1 South near the ramp to Route 252 (Providence Road) around 8 a.m. on July 2, authorities say. The driver of a transit van and two passengers have died, said the Delaware County District Attorney's Office. Their identities were not given.
