Pizzeria Owner Who Killed Partner In Bucks Home Learns Her Sentence: DA Maria Tolomello will spend up to 40 years in a Pennsylvania prison for the murder of Giovanni Gallina, prosecutors said in a release. Tolomello, who owned Pina's Pizza in Chalfont together with Gallina, previously pleaded guilty to shooting the 64-year-old in the head.  She was arrested in March 2022 after police found Gallina's body wrapped in a blue tarp in a bedroom of their shared Hilltown home. Officers were sent for a welfare check when Gallina's son said he hadn't heard from his father in over a week. Tolomello reportedly told the son that Gallina was out of town.&nbs…

27 Pennsylvanians Sickened In Salmonella Outbreak: CDC Dozens of Pennsylvanians are among the 162 people affected by a salmonella outbreak, according to health officials.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say the outbreak is linked to cucumbers sold in bulk to retail distribution centers in 14 states. Sellers may also have shipped the affected produce to other states.  The supplier, Fresh Start Produce Sales, recalled the cucumbers on May 31. They were grown in Florida and shipped from May 17 to May 21, according to the CDC.  Officials said 27 Pennsylvanians have gotten sick, more than in any other state.…

Come the late afternoon, showers with "a few thunderstorms" and a chance of downpours are likely across New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania, the NWS says.
