Skeletal Remains In PA Woods ID'd As Missing 22-Year-Old Giovanni Zambrano: Coroner (Update) eThe skeletal remains found in a wooded area of Allentown have been positively identified as 22-year-old Giovanni Zambrano, who had been reported missing since August 2024, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced on Thursday, March 6. Zambrano was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, after being discovered in the 300 block of Sumner Avenue, officials said. Post-mortem dental radiographs confirmed his identity, and an autopsy determined the manner of death as suicide, according to the coroner’s office. Passenger Identified In Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash: Lehigh County Coroner A 32-year-old man has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer in Upper Macungie Township, officials announced. Krishan Kumar, of Upper Macungie, was pronounced dead at 8:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at the scene on State Route 100 and Schaefer Run Road, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Kumar was the passenger in a vehicle that collided with a tractor-trailer. His cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries from the crash, and the manner of death was ruled an accident. Man Struck Dead By Amtrak In Philly, Police Say A man was struck dead by an Amtrak in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Philadelphia Police announced on July 14.  The "John Doe" was struck by the Amtrak along the tracks at Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street in Mayfair at 9:43 p.m. on July 13, PPD detailed in the release.  The striking train, Engine 52, had been heading south, according to the police. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 10:13 p.m. Additional information was unavailable at the time of publishing. A spokesperson for the city police department said the man, identified only as John Doe, was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m.
