Homicide: Whitehall Man 'Intentionally' Struck By Car, Lehigh Coroner Says
A 53-year-old man's death has been ruled a homicide the Lehigh County Coroner announced on Saturday, Aug. 10.
Stephen S. Fistner, of Whitehall Township, "was a pedestrian that was intentionally struck by a motor vehicle," Coroner Daniel Buglio stated.
The fatal strike happened in 1300 block of North 14th Street at 6:05 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, as detailed in the coroner's release.

A 25-year-old man was shot dead in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 7, authorities said.
At 1:23 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded for a person with a gun on the 1400 block of North 54th Street, in the 19th District.
Police transported the victim, who had a gunshot wound to his back, to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury at 1:51 p.m.
The scene is being held, no weapon was recovered, and no arrest at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The victim was in the care of her grandmother, Jazmine A. Rodriguez, her grandfather, Manuel Rodriguez, Sr., and her uncle, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., in Reading when she died of dehydration and prolonged exposure to high ambient temperature due to child neglect on May 28, Berks County District Attorney John T. Deadly Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation: Philadelphia Police
A man died from his wounds after he was shot multiple times Friday morning, Aug. 2, authorities say.
The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m., authorities said. His name was not reported as of late Friday morning.
