A 75-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a school bus on a Philadelphia street, police announced on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The woman was walking west on Chelten Avenue in the crosswalk at Chew Avenue at 3:01 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. At the same time, a school bus was going east in the 5700 block of Chelten Avenue and making a left turn onto Chew Avenue, police said. That's when the bus struck the woman in the crosswalk. 1 Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On Platt Memorial Bridge: Philly Police
One person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Philadelphia, police said. The crash happened on the Platt Memorial Bridge in the 6000 block of Penrose Avenue at 2:11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. A black 2024 BMW X4 was eastbound on the bridge when its driver lost control, flipping the vehicle over into the westbound lanes, police said. 14-Year-Old Girl Crossing Street With Mom Killed In Philly Hit-Run: Police
A 14-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run crash, Philadelphia Police announced on Friday, Sept. 27. Dawn Watson, of 900 block of North 66th Avenue in Philly, was crossing the street with her mom when a dark vehicle traveling east at a high rate of speed struck the girl and fled the scene, the Philadelphia Police Department said. Officers were called to the crash scene at 6500 Haverford Avenue at 9:38 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26. The dark vehicle may have been a Mercedes, according to police. Allentown Motorcyclist, 22, Killed In Philadelphia Ice Cream Truck Crash: Police
A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Allentown was killed in a crash with an ice cream truck on Saturday, Aug. 10 in Philadelphia, police said. Ramon Santiago was heading east on E. Hunting Park Avenue when he struck a 1995 Chevrolet G30 ice cream truck, operated by a 17-year-old boy, around 9:55 p.m. at the H Street intersection, Philadelphia police said. City police are looking for the driver in a deadly Philadelphia hit-and-run. Authorities said the car hit a pedestrian on the 1800 block of East Torresdale Avenue just before midnight on May 29. The 44-year-old victim later died from his injuries. The driver fled north on Torredale and was last seen on the 4000 block, according to investigators. Police Search For Driver In Deadly Philadelphia Hit-Run
A 44-year-old died after being struck by a runaway driver in Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood on Wednesday night, May 29, according to city police. Authorities said the victim was struck just before midnight while crossing the 1800 block of Torresdale Avenue. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead minutes later, police said. The suspect vehicle is a silver or blue Honda CRV that fled east on Torresdale.
