The production is currently casting for two male leads between 20 and 25 years old who are of Hispanic descent or can pass as Hispanic, the filmmakers announced.

The roles include:

  • Renny – A sharply dressed young man with a hidden agenda on a second date with Gabi.
  • Benito – A young man unexpectedly caught in a chaotic situation with his date, Lena.

The team is also searching for an actress to play Gabi, a fun-loving young woman of Dominican descent who finds herself on the worst date of her life but tries to stay optimistic. Additionally, they are casting for a waiter or waitress, described as a witty character of any gender, between 25 and 50 years old.

To audition, actors must submit a 3-5 minute monologue (drama or comedy), introduce themselves on video, and confirm availability for an in-person callback in mid-April. Submissions should be sent to emailras4beats@gmail.com or regthemesinjah@gmail.com by Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 8 p.m.

While this is not a paid gig, the production team promises amenities, food, and refreshments on filming days. Selected actors will be credited on IMDb and invited to any future film festivals where "Second Date" is showcased.

Good luck to all aspiring actors!
