Police said the pictured man robbed two businesses within a week.
The first incident was at a restaurant on the 400 block of W. Girard Avenue on May 24. An employee said he walked inside, jumped over the counter, then pointed a gun at her while demanding money.
He fled before police arrived, PPD said.
The second incident happened on the 2700 block of East Clearfield Street in Port Richmond on May 29, according to authorities.
The robber walked into a business and put a gun to an employee's back while she turned around to look for his order, PPD said. He forced all three employees to the back of the store and made them get on the ground before ordering one of them to put money in a bag, authorities said.
Two other customers who walked in during the robbery were also forced into the back, police said. One of the hostages fought back and was able to run out of the store, according to investigators.
That's when police say the robber fled on foot with an employee's cell phone, which was later found abandoned at Westmoreland and Webb streets.
He made off with about $1,000 cash, they added.
