Family Of Trucker Struck Dead On I-78 Sues Driver Of Hit-And-Run Vehicle: Lawsuit
The family of a Florida truck driver who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Berks County filed a lawsuit against the driver, according to the court document, which was filed Friday, Nov. 1. Jymel Dejuan Smith's family filed a lawsuit against Akhmadkhon Vokhidk Ubaykhonov, a Philadelphia man who was driving the tractor-trailer that struck and killed Smith, the lawsuit obtained by Daily Voice states. Smith had pulled his tractor-trailer over on Interstate 78 West near mile marker 41.5 in Greenwich Township at 4:54 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, according to previous reporting by Daily Voice.…

Florida Man Struck Dead On I-78: Pennsylvania State Police
A 49-year-old Florida man has died following a hit-and-run on Interstate 78, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 24. Jymel Dejuan Smith of Clermont is a trucker, according to his social media, he had pulled his tractor-trailer over on I-78 West near mile marker 41.5 in Greenwich Township at 4:54 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, PSP Hamburg Trooper Brian Roland detailed in the release. Motorcycles Stolen From Berks County Home: State Police
A pair of motorcycles were taken from a garage in Greenwich Township on Monday night, July 29, state police investigators say. A homeowner on Old Route 22 noticed his garage door was open on Tuesday morning, July 30, troopers wrote in a release. He went inside to see his blue 2023 Suzuki DRZ400SM and black 2000 Honda CRF50F were missing, authorities said. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police Hamburg at 610-562-6885 or submit an anonymous tip online.

Kutztown Woman Dies Weeks After Crashing Into Tree: Lehigh County Coroner
An 80-year-old woman has just over two weeks after a car crash into a tree, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio announced on Tuesday, July 30. Marilyn A. Barlip, Greenwich Township, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, July 29, as detailed in the release.
