A 39-year-old man has been arrested in part of an ongoing investigation of the Berks County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, authorities said. Fidel Yamil Ruiz, of Temple, was arrested for possessing and dealing methamphetamine and fentanyl at his home on 12th Avenue on Friday, Oct. 4, the Berks County District Attorney's Office announced. An already incarcerated 31-year-old man was sentenced to more prison time after pleading guilty to the overdose-related death of another inmate, the Buck County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Federal prosecutors have accused a Schuylkill Haven resident of selling methamphetamine. John Kyle Smith, 40, is charged with possession with intent to distribute, said the US Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
