Philadelphia Man Made Threats Against Co-Worker At NJ School: Police

A 45-year-old staff member at the Montclair School District was arrested and charged Monday, Jan. 13 with threatening a co-worker, causing all schools to be closed, police said.

Officers began investigating after a threat was made via social media toward a specific staff member at Northeast Elementary School, Montclair police said. In collaboration with law enforcement, the Montclair School District closed as a precautionary measure, police said.

Amir Doctry, a staff member currently on administrative leave was identified as the suspect and he was arrested at 8 a.m. at his residence in Philadelphia, police said. He was charged with terroristic threats, police said.

"We would like to reassure the public that there is no further danger to our community," police said.
