Amish Horse-Buggy Crash Closed PA 340: PennDOT
A horse-and-buggy crash closed part of PA 340 in Lancaster County on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. The horse-and-buggy and vehicle collided at the intersection of PA 340 and School Lane Road in the Salisbury Township, Gap area around 6:30 p.m. The road was completely closed "due to the vehicle rolling over," Schreffler said. A serious crash closed Route 309 Thursday morning, Sept. 19 in Bucks County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. All lanes were closed between Exit PA 563 and Exit PA 152 in Telford, the PennDOT site 511PA shows. The truck overturned at Augustine Road, as seen on traffic cameras.

Yet another tractor-trailer rolled over on the interchange of Route 283 with the PA Turnpike on Thursday, Aug. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. A ramp of the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76 closed Thursday morning, Aug. 22 due to a rollover crash, officials said. A tractor-trailer hauling dog food was heading east on I-76 when it attempted to take Exit 257 - Harrisburg East Interchange to I-283 Northbound, according to PennDOT and Turnpike officials. A major gas leak prompted evacuations in Palmer Township, authorities said. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Thursday, Aug. 8. Both lanes of travel on William Penn Highway were closed as a result of the leak between Stones Crossing Road and Sheridan Drive, police said. The evacuation covered an area of more than 100 yards, they said. Emergency services and utility company crews were at the scene.

Jackknifed Trailer Closed I-95 For Several Hours In Philadelphia
Interstate 95 has reopened in Philadelphia following a tractor trailer crash early Thursday, Aug. 8. The trailer jackknifed in the 6:30 a.m. crash in between exits for Vine Street Expressway and Columbus Boulevard. 6abc says HazMat teams were called to the scene for a fuel spill. 'Juvenile' Hit By Car In Broomall: Police
A juvenile victim was hospitalized after being hit by a car on Friday night, July 26, according to Marple police. The victim was struck by a southbound vehicle while crossing Sproul Road near Lawrence Road in Broomall around 7 p.m., authorities said in a release. They were taken to Lankenau Hospital while the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators, police wrote. Marple police and the Delaware County Crash Investigation Team continue to investigate.

Coroner Names Woman Killed In Carbon County Crash
A Hazleton woman was killed in a Nesquehoning crash on Tuesday morning, July 23, officials say. Angela De La Cruz Laureano, 46, was involved in a wreck on Route 93 and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Carbon County Coroner's Office. Her cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries resulting from a motor vehicle collision and the manner of death was ruled accidental, authorities said. In addition to the Coroner's Office, Nesquehoning police and the District Attorney's Office are investigating, they added.

All lanes of Interstate 78 are closed in Williams Township after a crash near the New Jersey border, according to transportation officials. Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police
A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added. I-476 between Route 3 (Marple) and Route 30 (Radnor) was down to one lane of travel as of 12:30 p.m., state police said.

Roadwork To Begin In Montgomery County, Officials Say
Drivers are advised to expect possible delays as roadwork begins in Lower Gwynedd this week. Crews will be at work at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike, Sumneytown Pike, and Norristown Road near Spring House Tavern, according to township police. Work will begin on Wednesday, July 17, and continue through Friday, July 19, officials said. Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and then again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The project will include roadway milling, paving, and temporary line striping, they added.
