A community is rallying for a family after a Pennsylvania mom was stabbed to death by her boyfriend allegedly over a "bad hair cut" according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Thursday, Nov. 7. Carmen Martinez-Silva, 50, was found dead in the yard of her home in the 2900 block of Dell Lane in East Hempfield Township at 1:40 p.m., according to the coroner's release and as Daily Voice reported at the time. Mom and a "career drug dealer" have been sentenced for the overdose death of her daughter, according to a release by Pennsylvania's Attorney General Michelle Henry on Wednesday, July 17. PA Woman Who Died At National Park Was Traveling Nurse With 'Zest For Life,' Fund Says
Gillian Tones of North Apollo was identified as the Pennsylvania woman who drowned at Glacier National Park in Montana over the weekend. She was 26. Nations Parks Service officials said Tones slipped and fell into the water above St. Mary Falls on Sunday afternoon, June 23. Witnesses said bystanders pulled her from the water after she was washed over the falls. She never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at 7 p.m., according to park rangers.
