Man Killed, Another Hurt While Moving Deer From Road: PA State Police A 27-year-old man was killed, and another person was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to remove a deer carcass from a roadway in Jackson Township, Mercer County, police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The crash happened on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 6:30 p.m. on Franklin Road, east of Coolspring Church Road, Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer said in a release. Daniel H. Johnson, of Jackson Center, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck, officials said. A second pedestrian was airlifted to St. Elizabeth's Hospital with life-threatening injuries. …

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a recall of approximately 43,400 Toyota Sequoia Hybrids that may have tow hitch covers that can detach from the bumper and fall into the roadway, causing a hazard for other drivers. Box Truck Flips On Side During Route 80 Crash: Officials (Photos) A Route 80 driver was trapped when their box truck flipped on Wednesday morning, July 17, according to first responders.  The crash happened in the westbound lanes of Rt 80 near mile marker 259.1 around 9:30 a.m., Hazle Township Fire and Rescue Company detailed in the release. The box truck hit the back of a construction-blocking vehicle and then flipped onto its side, pinning the driver, officials said.  Facebook/Hazle Twp. Fire and Rescue Co.
