Schuylkill County Woman Dies 11 Days After Crash: Lehigh County Coroner An 82-year-old woman from Schuylkill County has died at a hospital in Allentown from critical injuries in a crash earlier this month, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 23. Mary Frances Peiffer of Auburn died of blunt force injuries, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Peiffer was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, at 2:02 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, Buglio detailed in the release. Schuylkill County Man, 55, Dies After Swimming Accident: Coroner Michael J. Scarlato died from his injuries after an accident in McAdoo Borough, according to officials.  Scarlato, 55, suffered cervical spine fractures after an "at-home swimming incident," said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
