Crash With Injuries Closes 2nd Street Near Turnpike In Highspire
A vehicle crash with injuries shut down part of 2nd Street near the Turnpike overpass in Highspire on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:01 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene and urged drivers to avoid the area while they worked to assist the injured and clear the wreckage, according to Citizen's Fire Company-Highspire. Two laser strikes have been reported by air traffic controllers at a Pennsylvania airport on Tuesday, Oct. 29, police announced. Shots Fired During Armed Robbery In Highspire, Suspect At Large: Police
Three shots were fired during an armed robbery and the police are searching for the suspect, as announced in a release at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. The robbery happened at the Highland Mart Fuel Market in Highspire at 9:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The store clerk described the suspects to the police as "an unknown individual wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an 'I (heart) MY GIRLFRIEND' iron-on decal on the front, black long pants, and a black ski mask," as stated in the release.
