A fire blazed through two Bucks County homes, causing eight people to be hospitalized, according to the Pennsylvania State Police in a Wednesday, Nov. 20 news release. The fire started in a residence at 146 West Richardson Avenue in Langhorne Borough at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, state police said. A 77-year-old woman died after being rescued from the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County on Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to police. Officers and firefighters responded to a 911 call about a car in the water at 601 Righter's Ferry Road in Bala Cynwyd at 9:08 a.m., the Lower Merion Township Police Department told Daily Voice. Six partiers were rescued from a sinking 20-foot boat on the Schuylkill River in Southeast Philadelphia, authorities said. At about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, first responders got a call from one of the boaters who said their vessel was taking on water at the Platt Bridge, the U.S. Coast Guard reported. The Philadelphia Fire Department's marine unit was able to pull alongside the boat and rescue its occupants, the Coast Guard said.

NJ Man, 39, Drowns In Delaware Water Gap
A New Jersey man's body was discovered in the Delaware River, authorities said. The 39-year-old Lakewood man was found dead in Bushkill, Pennsylvania, on Monday, Aug. 26, a National Park Service spokesperson said in a news release. His body was spotted about 20 to 30 feet from the shore at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Off-Duty Philly Cop Helps Rescue 4 From Fire
An off-duty police officer helped rescue four people from a house fire in Philadelphia, authorities said. Two people died at the scene of the fire, Philadelphia police said. On Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7:35 a.m., Philadelphia Police and Fire departments responded to a report of a residential fire and people trapped on the 900 block of Granite Street, in the 2nd District. The four recused victims were transported to Temple University Hospital and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children by PFD-Medic Units.
