Mom Of 4 Killed In Schuylkill County Crash: Lehigh County Coroner
A 37-year-old mother of four was killed in a crash after striking several parked cars on Monday, Sept. 9 in Schuylkill County, authorities announced the following morning. Lisa Marie Dimitri, of Pottsville, was pronounced dead in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest at 10:20 a.m., according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. Horse Struck Dead By Van, No Charges Filed: PA State Police
A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day. The 2011 Dodge Caravan driven by 20-year-old Leon Lapp of Atglen struck a horse standing on Churchtown Road just south of Main Street at 6:01 a.m., PSP Lancaster Trooper Joshua Croyle wrote in the release. A pedestrian was hospitalized with multiple injuries after a crash in Bucks County, authorities said. Perkasie Borough Police are investigating the crash that occurred at about 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 at Callowhill Road and Dorchester Lane. A 70-year-old pedestrian was crossing in the crosswalk at Callowhill Road and was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta traveling eastbound on Callowhill Road, police said. A 41-year-old passenger was killed in a Philadelphia crash in which the driver made an illegal turn, authorities said. At 3:22 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15, the fatal crash occurred at Kelly Drive and Reservoir Drive, near Parkland in the 22nd District, according to Philadelphia police. Driver Plunges Into Schuylkill River In Philly
A car drove into the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, authorities said. At about 3:40 a.m., an unusual incident occurred at 1273 Kelly Drive in the 22nd District. Police and fire department personnel responded to a 911 call reporting that a black four-door sedan had been seen driving into the river. The vehicle was located; however, at press time no driver or passenger had been located, police said. The investigation is active and ongoing.

A 46-year-old Chester County man is accused of ramming his car into a patrol car and then charging at the officers, authorities said. A pedestrian was struck and killed in front of the White Horse Inn in Pennridge last week, authorities said on Tuesday, Aug. 13. On Friday, Aug. 9, Pennridge Regional police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike.
