Multiple Crashes Snarl Traffic On PA 581 East Near Camp Hill (Developing) Two crashes along PA 581 eastbound caused major delays near Exit 5: US 15 S - US 11/15 N Gettysburg/Camp Hill on Monday, Dec. 2, leaving drivers stranded in long backups during the afternoon commute. The first crash occurred around 2:05 p.m., approximately one mile west of Exit 5, creating a traffic disruption expected to clear by 3:30 p.m., PennDOT said. Tractor-Trailer Fire Shutters Part Of PA Turnpike: PennDOT A tractor-trailer caught on fire along the Pennsylvania Turnpike prompting a detour to be put in place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The fire broke out in Upper Allen Township near mile marker 234.7 around 2:09 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA.  The turnpike is closed at the Gettysburg interchange. Fiery Fatal Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Minivan on US11/15: PennDOT Multi-vehicle crashes —  including a fatal crash — have closed north and southbound lanes on US 11/15/Susquehanna Trail on Wednesday, Aug. 7, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice.  The fatal crash involved "a tractor-trailer and a minivan, fire and entrapment," Schreffler said.  The crashes happened in Buffalo Township, Perry County, just before 10:30 a.m., according to Schreffler.
