Dad With Baby On The Way Killed In York County Crash, Fund Says A community is rallying after a 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, according to the Springettsbury Township Police. Ziare Jackson, a York native, was riding a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle when it struck the rear of a 2007 Ford Focus driven by a 46-year-old man also from York, police detailed in a release. This happened in the 3400 block of East Market Street around 5:46 a.m., according to the police. The road was closed in the area for several hours. Springettsbury Township Police are investigating. Firefighters Injured In PA House Fire, Spotted By Amazon Driver: Officials (Photos) An Amazon Delivery Driver spotted a house fire that ended up sending two firefighters to the hospital on Thursday, Oct. 31, officials say. After the Amazon Driver made the 911 call, firefighters from both Pennsylvania and Maryland were dispatched to the blaze at the home near Sunspot and Spur trails in Carroll Valley Borough at 2:25 p.m. They arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames, but thankfully no one was home. Two firefighters were taken to an area hospital for medical attention while battling the blaze. They have since been released.
