Overturned Truck Shuts Route 309 In Telford
A serious crash closed Route 309 Thursday morning, Sept. 19 in Bucks County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. All lanes were closed between Exit PA 563 and Exit PA 152 in Telford, the PennDOT site 511PA shows. The truck overturned at Augustine Road, as seen on traffic cameras.

A massive fire ripped through buildings in Philadelphia Friday morning, Sept. 13. Yet another tractor-trailer rolled over on the interchange of Route 283 with the PA Turnpike on Thursday, Aug. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The second tractor-trailer overturned on the ramp from Rt 283 West to the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76 South near the exit to the Harrisburg International Airport in Lower Swatara Township. A ramp of the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76 closed Thursday morning, Aug. 22 due to a rollover crash, officials said. A tractor-trailer hauling dog food was heading east on I-76 when it attempted to take Exit 257 - Harrisburg East Interchange to I-283 Northbound, according to PennDOT and Turnpike officials. Area police reported scattered outages as wind and rain pulled down power lines. Lower Saucon Township police reported that Lower Saucon Road was closed between Woodland Road and Woodland Hills Court due to a tree down on power wires. Upper Saucon Township police reported that Oakhurst Drive was closed between Stonesthrow Road and Old Bethlehem Pike due to utility lines across the roadway. The incidents were reported late morning on Friday, Aug. 9. Meanwhile, due to the severe weather, the Doylestown Township Administrative Offices closed at 2:30 p.m.

Downed trees and power lines had closed roads after the storm in Eastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Aug. 7, authorities said. The remnants of now Tropical Storm Debby will move north along the eastern U.S. through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. PennDOT Work To Begin In Plumstead, Police Say
Crews will begin work on Old East Road in Plumstead beginning Tuesday, July 23, township police announced. The street will be shut down from Curly Hill Road to Route 611 all day for drainage pipe replacement, authorities wrote in a release. Only emergency traffic will be allowed, police said. Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes, including Curly Hill Road between Easton Road and Old Easton Road or Point Pleasant Pike.

Car Hit By Falling Tree On I-476 In Delco: Police
A tree fell on a car on Interstate 476, sending one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, July 18, according to state police. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 was seriously injured, troopers said. Two other cars were struck by debris but no one inside them was injured, authorities added. I-476 between Route 3 (Marple) and Route 30 (Radnor) was down to one lane of travel as of 12:30 p.m., state police said.

A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was ejected and was subsequently struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry, killing him, Marchan said. A man and a woman are hospitalized after an early morning wreck on Route 322, Downingtown police say. A silver Honda Fit and a white Chevrolet Equinox collided on the 600 block just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, authorities said. Both were taken to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center while Route 322/Brandywine Avenue was shut down for more than three hours.
