Authorities identified those responsible for the break-in but have not released further details on what was taken or damaged. The Royersford Police Department and Spring-Ford School Police are handling the investigation.
The unexpected closure left parents and staff scrambling, but officials assured families the school is safe for reopening on Tuesday. Teachers will not address the incident in class but will be prepared to calm anxious students, the district said.
“This community is resilient,” Principal Dr. Carboy said. “I am incredibly proud of how we come together to support one another.”
Superintendent Mr. Rizzo praised the fast response of law enforcement, maintenance teams, and school staff in restoring normal operations.
Residents with concerns are urged to contact the Spring-Ford School District or Royersford Elementary School directly.
