Brian Groo, 24, of Horsham, was charged after a video of the infant being raped was found online on Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said. An Upper Perk police officer involved in a fatal East Greenville shooting was justified in using lethal force, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. The investigation into the officer's actions during the Saturday, Sept. 14 incident involving the shooting of Gabriel Diaz revealed that the use of deadly force was warranted, the district attorney's office said in a news release. A Norristown man was arrested for murder after shooting a 32-year-old man inside his apartment on East Marshall Street, according to a release by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. An Abington woman charged with shooting her parents and dismembering their bodies with a chainsaw was sentenced Monday, Sept. 30, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office told Daily Voice the following day. Verity Beck, 45, pleaded "guilty but mentally ill" to two first-degree murder counts, the district attorney's office said. She was given two life sentences that will be served concurrently. Gabriel Diaz died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder in the shooting on Saturday night, Sept, 14, Coroner Dr. Janine Darby told Daily Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
