Senior Dies From 'Severe Heat Conditions': Lehigh County Coroner A 93-year-old woman died in her Upper Macungie home this week in what the Lehigh County Coroner is calling "the first reported heat-related death" of the season, as stated in a release on Friday, July 19.  The woman was pronounced dead from hyperthermia at 11:24 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, according to the coroner's release. She was "exposed to severe heat conditions within her residence" and the manner of death was accidental, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.
