That trend will continue through the weekend as a persistent front will linger, bringing forth notable swings in temps, intermittent showers, occasional rainfall, and scattered thunderstorms, the National Weather Service says.
"The temperature exchanges will be accompanied by rounds of drizzle and gusty showers and even locally severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, ice and snow in some cases — a prime example of spring weather chaos," according to AccuWeather.
Saturday, April 5 will be cloudy with morning rain and intermittent showers during the day. Storms will be possible at night, especially farther south.
Temps will rebound Sunday, April 6 with more seasonable temps. But scattered showers will continue to linger, with a significant lull during the morning and early afternoon hours.
Expect a resurgence of soggy conditions by evening, persisting into the early hours of Monday, April 7, which will be cloudy and cooler.
