A serious crash has shut down all southbound lanes of Route 222 between the Brownstown/Rothsville and Oregon Pike exits near Leola, authorities announced Friday, Dec. 13. Northbound traffic is restricted to one lane in the same area. The southbound lanes of Route 222 were closed at 2:12 p.m., according to 511PA. Traffic is being diverted at the Brownstown exit, with the roadway expected to remain closed until at least 4:15 p.m., authorities said. Men Sought After Suspicious Incident With Child At Lancaster Store: Police
Police are searching for two men accused of approaching a young girl inside a Lancaster store and asking her to walk with them, authorities announced on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The incident happened at the At Home store located at 1890 Fruitville Pike around noon, according to Manheim Township Police. The two men approached an 8-year-old girl, touched her shoulder, and asked her age before inviting her to walk with them, investigators said. Boy Charged, Gun Seized After Bizarre Incident In Lancaster Neighborhood: PD
A boy has been charged and arrested after a neighborhood "disturbance" on Sunday night, Oct 13, the Lancaster City police announced the following day. Police were called to reports of a man with a gun in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue around 11:30 p.m. When officers arrived they soon learned a neighbor’s dispute had happened and it quickly escalated.
