A Nesquehoning man was arrested after allegedly threatening to bring a gun to the borough offices on Wednesday, June 26, authorities say. Steven Figueroa, 29, is charged with terroristic threats, according to Nesquehoning police. Officials said Figueroa called borough employees around 10:30 a.m. to complain about municipal water and sewer services. A suspect brandished a handgun during a standoff with a SWAT team in Cheltenham, according to township police. Authorities said they spotted the suspect's car behind the 8250 Limekiln Pike Wawa around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The Saturday shooting that left a Philadelphia policeman in critical condition ended in a home invasion and barricade, city officials said at a Monday morning press conference. Ramon Rodrguez Vazquez, 36, is charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and related offenses, said PPD and the District Attorney's Office. A Philadelphia man will spend more than three years in prison after pulling a gun on a man in Atlantic City, authorities said. Sean Bennett, 31, was sentenced on Friday, June 7, to five years in state prison for second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Gun Fired During Schuylkill County Road Rage Incident, Troopers Say
State police in Schuylkill County are looking for a driver who they say shot at another person on the road last Tuesday, May 28. The suspect was in a black, newer model BMW SUV on Schuylkill Mountain Road in South Manheim Township, troopers said. During a road rage incident, police said the suspect pulled next to the victim and fired a handgun at a 17-year-old's 1989 Ford. He was described as a white man in his 30s.
