Route 222 South Closes After Serious Crash, Lane Restrictions North (Developing) A serious crash has shut down all southbound lanes of Route 222 between the Brownstown/Rothsville and Oregon Pike exits near Leola, authorities announced Friday, Dec. 13. Northbound traffic is restricted to one lane in the same area. The southbound lanes of Route 222 were closed at 2:12 p.m., according to 511PA. Traffic is being diverted at the Brownstown exit, with the roadway expected to remain closed until at least 4:15 p.m., authorities said. Flipped Equipment Closes Rt 222 Ramp In Lancaster County (Developing) Equipment rolled off a trailer at an ramp entering Route 222 ramp in Lancaster County on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation' 511PA traffic cameras. The equipment flipped over at the ramp to Route 222 South from Route 322 in Ephrata Township around 12 p.m., as shown on 511PA.
