PA Mom, Sister Jailed For Neglecting Quadriplegic Relative Defrauding Medicaid Of $140K: AG
A Philadelphia mother and sister who served as caregivers to a quadriplegic man have been sentenced to prison for neglect that left him hospitalized in critical condition, Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced on Thursday, Dec. 19. Rashina Long, 48, and Jasmine Long, 33, pleaded guilty in September to neglect of a care-dependent person and Medicaid fraud, according to Henry. Both women were sentenced to two to four years in prison, followed by seven years of probation. They are also banned from working as caregivers during their sentences. Three children found home alone with dog feces covering the floor have led to their mom being charged with child endangerment, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Thursday, Oct. 31. Heather Ordaz, 41, of the 100 block of B Lane in Willow Farms Trailer Park in Swatara Township has been charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for Endangering the Welfare of Children, on Sunday, Oct. 27, according to her court docket. 'Negligent' Family Charged After PA Fire Kills Infant: Affidavit
A dad, mom, and grandma have been charge for endangering the lives of four children when 4-year-old playing with a lighter caused a fire killing an infant, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Thursday, Oct. 31. Barbara Miller, 59; Jessica Ann Miller, 25; and Brian Scott Navarre, 28, were charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of children on Oct. 25 for "the negligent death of an infant," the Lebanon County District Attorney's office details in press release.
