Hundreds of mink were released from a Northumberland County farm on Saturday, Oct. 19, leading to two arrests, according to authorities. The animals were released from Richard H. Stahl Sons Inc. farm in Sunbury, according to a news release from Fur Commission USA. A Fire Police Captain's vehicle has been three days after he went missing, Pennsylvania State Police say. The Laurel Fire Company in Windsor Fire Police Captain Tony Bortner was last seen on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17, PA State Police explained on Monday, Oct. 21, and as Daily Voice previously reported. 3 People Injured In Amish Horse-Buggy Crash: Lancaster County Dispatch
Three people were injured in a crash involving a horse and buggy and a truck on Sunday night, Oct. 20, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The crash happened at the intersection of Nottingham Road and Little Britain Road in Little Britain Township around 7:40 p.m., according to LCWC. Three people from the horse and buggy were injured, but it was not clear if they were taken to a hospital. Multiple ambulances were called to an accident on an Amish farm on Saturday, Oct. 18, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The call regarding a "traumatic injury" at the farm located in the 200 block of Paradise Lane in Paradise Township came into LCWC at 12:20 p.m. Details about the incident have not been released, but we know Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
